early pioneers of the german new wave music scene, din a testbild were formed in 1978 by mark eins and gudrun gut (former member of einstürzende neubauten, mania d. and malaria!). din a testbild played a significant role in defining the avant-garde music of berlin. legendary is their partecipation at the festival genialer dilletanten in 1981. programm 2 is their second album mixed and produced by klaus schulze on his own record label innovative communication in 1980, programm 2 was a favourite in the playlists of the italian cosmic dj heroes daniele baldelli and dj mozart.

frank booker is back down in the basement for the 3rd release on his hot new vinyl only imprint. the main man himself delivers the a side cut, which is a classic booker style disco jam. by now standard booker ingredients are served - super tight drums, funky bass, big strings, joyous horns, a wild piano riff - and the whole affair climaxes with a joyous vocal hook. irresistible stuff! on the flip side, frank s compadre dicky trisco drops another serious disco weapon that is guaranteed to kick-start any party with its chunky, funk-inspired sound. absolutely ready to tear up the dance floor at any moment, it is again the keys that really seal the deal here. both tracks have 100% got the funk and have been lovingly mastered for this limited edition 10 inch vinyl release. making this yet another stellar release on the down in the basement label - as you would expect!

amphia celebrates its 10th release with a two-tracker ep from cezar lazar.
both tracks reflect his signature sound, taking time to evolve into soundscapes that expand outside the familiar borders. the latin american influences embedded in * choice of ancillaries* leave us hints of its vivid melody surfacing beneath its tight percussions. on the b side we find its darker counterpart, * grounds and shields*, treating us with a more acoustic flow, sewn graciously around the incisive bassline.

the next release on our label comes from our dear friend franco cinelli from argentina. franco is one of the main artists and pioneers of electronic music in his country and also has been working as a dj outside of argentina for many years now. besides the fact that he is a very talented and super tight dj, franco also has been releasing some impressive music over the past years. we have been following his productions for quite a while and therefor we are super happy to finally welcome him on board of our label with this truly great release

introducing felix leifur, dirt crews latest discovery, an all new, raw and savvy talent from reykjavik, iceland. reykjavik has a population of just over 120.000, so the disco, hip hop and soul sampling, house music community that felix rolls with is pretty tight knit, giving him a unique and inspired perspective on the sound. remixing is friend of the label, manchesters hidden spheres.

schwefelgelb is the electronic music project of sid & eddy. having carefully straddled the boundaries between techno, ebm and electro, the duo is entering 2016 with a 12� release on the new label incarnation of the berlin based fleisch collective. fleisch consists of a group of miscreants known for throwing some of the best curated dark underground dance parties in berlin, with a focus on sounds ranging from e.b.m., new beat, acid to techno. the metamorphosis of fleisch into a label could not demand a more fitting debut than schwefelgelb�s newest sonic discharge. tight programming, catchy analog synth-bass coupled with well utilized & frenetic shouted vocals echo the golden age of electronic body music. a refreshing progression of sounds moves the style forward without being afflicted with the formulaic and hollow tendencies befallen similar attempts by others acts over the years.

this promising israeli talent delivers two slow burning tracks oozing with eastern influence and informed by the modern sounds of dance. part of the 84% creativity crew, naduve presents his second release with cocktail d amore in the form of a two track ep which revels in it s dark and seductive energy. -no good news- builds over it s 7-minute run layering mystic vocal synths and coupling them with splashing hats and tight shakers to give just enough beat driven energy to keep a crowd to attention. the flying guitars and staccato synths of a trip in tel aviv slither over half beat percussive structures to give this track a sinister feel ideal for late, late, late nights. wunderkind man power drops a tab on a trip, giving it a fresh take perfect for psychedelically inclined moments.

bart skils fifth drumcode offering comes in the shape of black vans. a high energy, full force, three track ep of powerful techno, he showcases his skills to produce three tight and solid tracks. layering the ep with samples, synths and hard hitting drums, the three tracks create an emotive journey that proves bart skils is still on top of his game.

the latest release from the swiss duo larytta, entitled jura libre, is a chunky, massive, intelligent, colorful (in that full on tropical way) four-song collection of club bangers. to be exact the full set actually consists of two original songs with an in-house larytta remix a piece. the originals lean on pronounced inflections of playful, tricky, afro-tropical rhythms, while the reworks go for a more direct four-to-the-floor approach straight for the jugular. apart from the vibrant, tight production what unifies all of these tracks is a head nod towards that nineties club sound, especially that golden age acid rave material. this is music made not only by great producers, but heads that really know and love clubbing culture and history and know how to tastefully reference the past. the ep closes with bota mao pra encima which features brazilian emcee junior, and thats the point at which you start to question if this ep was truly cut in switzerland.

when an artist truly lets their music speak for them, there is no need for words. with his discography packed tight for the last 3 years and almost no information online, this seemed to be the case for ld nero. so when he dropped 4 original tracks at our doorstep, we knew we had to pay attention. let your body speak is ld neros ep debut on get physical, already appearing with his bombastic remix of roland leeskers my warehouse alongside chris liebing, cardopusher, m.a.n.d.y. and dj t. ld neros fresh and unique sound is abundant throughout the ep.

originally released via ascetic house in 2015, vereker�s grace tape owes much to the canon of vintage anti-music, exploring catharsis via a transgression of traditional compositional & technical values. working with the same thematic concerns of much of the more leftfield additions to the avian catalogue - in it�s more subdued moments, anxiety & dissafection, in it�s more high energy - pure hysteria - the recording pairs basic synthesis with warped vocals in the same manner as industrial progenitors throbbing gristle and steven stapleton (nurse with wound).

cadenza music opens up its 2016 account with the debut single from swiss producers, rare movement feat. disco channel. cutting their teeth on the dj circuit for many years, and playing alongside such esteemed jocks as seth troxler, ricardo villalobos (who mastered the audio on these tracks), jamie jones and luciano (who ultimately signed this single to cadenza), the guys have crafted a pair of tracks that sit right in the dj sets of the aforementioned company. rare 007 combines tension building synths and a wandering bassline, wrapped up tight in solid drum groove, its hypnotizing tones carving out a most useful club tool. on the flip side, rare 011 digs deeper, with cinematic string sweeps over the sparse and bass heavy kick drum. flashes of vocal refrains and micro percussion fly in and out of the arrangement as the melodic elements give this one a real sense of drama as the track blossoms into life. a very accomplished debut from the guys will no doubt provide a real dancefloor moment in the right setting, and no surprise that villalobos gave these tracks the audio master that they deserve.

jesse calosso is a bronx-born dj and producer, part of a tight clique of new york artists that includes such luminaries as the martinez brothers and filsonik. 2015 has been a busy year for him. not only has he completed a mix-tape style album as masters at dutch with the martinez brothers and blas cordero, but also his tracks serving size and whatever right now appeared on the tuskegee ep the come up vol 1. he has dj-d at output in brooklyn, circoloco in ibiza and at seth troxlers acid future party in london to name but three. now, he releases a brand new four-track ep called the incoming on cutting headz.
